If we exclude the development of gestures and speech as our earliest communications, we can look at the paintings of the cave dweller as man’s earliest use of a communications medium.

To get our terminology correct; media refers to all forms of communication that uses tools to store or deliver a message. The term medium (not a psychic) is a singular form, and it was used correctly in the opening paragraph. The medium for the cave dwellers was the walls they painted on.

Net-werkZ refers to itself as a multi-media company and that usage simply means that we include every known type of medium to deliver an effective message on behalf of our client.

For ease of explanation we divide media management and creation into two primary categories; print media and electronic media. Each of the two categories; print and electronic have features that are unique to each medium as well protocols that are equally used.

However, please realize that we are not excluding other forms as there are many other modes beyond the two primaries of print and electronic media. For example: digital media, electronic media, hypermedia, (media with hyperlinks), recording media, outdoor aka billboards to name only a few.
