Print refers to a process for reproducing
text and image, typically with ink on paper using a printing press. It
is often carried out on a huge scale with massive printing presses surely
an industrial process, and is an essential part of publishing and transaction
printing.
When referring to print media we generally
think of newspaper display advertising. This should never be confused
with the shorter form known as classified advertising which is usually
text only. A display ad to be effective requires the elements of
design layout, illustrations, catch phrases, and written descriptions with
economical word usage. Economy of the ad is critical because advertising
space is sold by the column inch which is the width of one column and the
inches applied to the length of the ad. Often the newspaper will
have specials such as inserts for certain holidays and generally a special
rate per inch applies.
As with any form of advertising its
solitary purpose is to connect buyer to seller. All the elements
of marketing should also be employed, in other words, branding, demographics
and targeting a market segment apply here as much as anywhere else.
Magazine advertising, brochures, pamphlets,
flyers, bulk mail letters all fall into the broad category of print media
and we will not single them out, but would rather discuss your specific
needs with you.
Effective copy writing and design layout
are essential to a good ad, and Net-werkZ© Media
Group has some very skilled persons to help keep you “Open for Business”!

Electronic media are typically radio
and television commercials as a form of advertising using either the medium
of radio or television. An advertiser buys airtime from a station
or network in exchange for airing the commercials. Both media
sell their airtime as spots, which typically are in 15, 30 and 60 second
increments.
A radio ad obviously is strictly words
but can also have theme music or sound effects thrown in for effect.
On many hometown stations, the voice of the seller or provider can be used
to create a more personal connection.
Television advertising is a bit more
involved because in addition to all the elements above the ad requires
the creation of a story board. This outlines the connection between
the video and the audio because timing of the images to support the audio
is critical to the efficacy of the ad.
An effective electronic campaign generally
will involve the use of both mediums. The TV creates definite images
in the mind of the customer, and radio time that uses the same audio will
reinforce the message.
There are many terms that are unique
to each medium, terms such as drive time, prime time, run of schedule and
many more.
The media specialists of Net-werkZ©
Media Group can develop a complete campaign that will carry your message
effectively and most importantly use the buying power of an agency to apply
the best price to your time purchased.

Since 1965, the Highway Beautification
Act has continued to present complications for the entity that would use
the medium of outdoor advertising. The Act restricted the locations
for billboards thus limiting any proliferation and provided for fines that
could be assessed for non-compliance.
States and local governing agencies
have the responsibility for establishing criteria to insure observance
of the Act. As mentioned billboard locations have been restricted
however, established boards that are not upgraded or otherwise modified
can remain in locations where new boards would be prohibited or in other
words they are "grandfathered" to borrow the term!
Ideally an advertising campaign that
seeks maximum market penetration and saturation would use print, electronic
and outdoor advertising to maximize product awareness. The aforementioned
restrictions can impact many advertising campaigns due to the non-availability
of a location.
The messages best suited for a billboard
are those that can convey the message of the ad with only an image or seven
(7) words or less. A board with only the picture of a bottle of Coke
or Pepsi with frost and droplets would easily suggest cold refreshment.
The reason for such brevity is that
it is estimated that the average motorist on a highway has roughly a four
second exposure to the message. Complex wording or intricate text
or graphics are lost in a jumble and ultimately are a waste of an advertiser’s
money.

Web
design, graphics, advertising comprises the three vital legs of Net-werkz
Media Group headquartered in Lancaster, PA. However, Net-werkZ began
simply as a web design company located
in Great Falls, Montana back in 1997. It commenced operations as
Cinnywebs and it gingerly tip-toed into web sites, web site design, web
design and site design. As time moved along Net-werkz©
Media Group added web hosting, domains, and site redesign to the existing
functions of web sites, web site design, web design and site design.
Of course the continuing growth of the World Wide Web aka the “Net” afforded
Net-werkz the chance to build many more web sites. In the field of
web design or more specifically web site design, Net-werkz has always subscribed
to the “KISS” theory, (“Keep It Simple Stupid”) that holds as a premise
that simple approaches for complex solutions are often the best course
of action. In other words Net-werkZ believed that tightly managing
the web site media, logos, and graphics would keep the web page size small
enough to allow for faster opening web sites. There are other large
web design companies utilizing methods that probably make really pretty
web sites. However, does a fancy website perform better than a simpler,
more functional web designs as created by Net-werkz? Simply…No!
Again the passage of time created a need for Net-werkz© Media Group
to become more versatile and better-rounded. A “full-service” company
was vitally needed; one that was well versed in the additional disciplines
of advertising, public relations, graphics, and logos. The
web or net as well as the existing business climate offer the challenge
that many small companies determine that advertising and media buying were
financially out of reach. Net-werkz© Media Group long a small
business itself understood clearly that advertising and public relations
were the keys to solid business growth. Net-werkz© Media
Group evolved with the marketplace and now has the ability to assist fellow
small businesses with media buying, and advertising, as well as the other
media services such as logos and graphics for web sites or the radio or
television ad. With its added departments for media and graphics
Net-werkz© Media Group is poised for success and these specialties
have added much to Net-werkz portfolio. Once a captive of external
graphic arts designers, Net-werkz can now produce most graphics and logos
in house and on its own. Net-werkz© Media Group with its
Web Design, Advertising, and Graphics divisions is poised to help its clients
for many years to come with its vast array of services. Truly then, Web
design, Web site design, Web site hosting, Web hosting, Web site redesign,
Site design, Domains, Web sites, Public Relations, advertising, Ads, Logos,
Media, Media buying, Graphics, Graphic Design, Net, Web, Ad, and Media
are the forte` of Net-werkz© Media Group!
